A Bit About Me…
I’m perhaps best known as a figure skater, particularly since being a Semi-Finalist on “Dancing On Ice Netherlands” 2020 with my amazing partner, Nicolien Sauerbreij, Olympic gold medalist in parallel giant slalom snowboard, and achieving Runner Up on ITV's "Dancing On Ice" 2018 with my celebrity partner, Brooke Vincent of ITV's "Coronation Street." I’ve antithetically spent much of my life defying that classification. Undaunted by the societal need to label, I’ve used my voracious curiosity to become an accomplished multi-sport athlete, published writer, dynamic artist, performer, photographer and filmmaker. An intrepid explorer and learner, I’m continually motivated to seek and share connections across cultures.
Currently splitting my time between New York and California , I’ve lived in 5 countries and trained as a figure skater in a few more. Besides English, I speak Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese and some Chinese. I’ve been told I do some pretty good accents!
I believe there is a universal vibration – a human connection – that we all share. It’s powerful stuff. I seek to use the power of storytelling, be it through skating, dance, music, art, film, writing or the creation of a landscape, to connect us to this deeper realm because I believe it has the power transform – encouraging us to move beyond the labeled box we live in, recognizing that as just one story, one possibility – and inspiring us to create new ones.
